I don't have one to sell you, but keep your eyes peeled and you might see new ones getting Blown out for cheap in the near future as a new/improved Terrova was just released at Icast and is supposed to be available this fall so retailers wil likely be blowing it current stock.

Does it have to be ipilot? I might have a lead on one. I'll go sniffing...

Looks like the one I had in mind is a Motorguide.

    - 54 lb Variable Thrust trolling Motor

    - 12 volt system

    - 50 inch stainless steel shaft - 61 inches total length

    - MotorGuide Gator 11 - Bow Mount trolling motor bracket - all hardware included

    - foot pedal with 16 foot extension - variable speed control in pedal

    - 3 spare props

    - power outlet

    - 50 amp reset circuit breaker

    - Operating Manual

Motor is in excellent running condition - last used July 9/2016

    He's looking to get $450

Is this a cable or electric steer?
I'm dead set on ipilot. Can't go back now. It's just a must for me.

Cheebers, not sure if you are thinking that you want to be adding the "new ipilot" (ie the one that is going to be on the updated terrova) but word on the street (walleye central) is that older trolling motors (terrovas and ulterras) will not be upgradable. If you want access to the improved spot lock you are going to have to shell out for an entirely new Terrova, this is what it sounds like based on people's inquiries to Minn Kota customer service.

That will change,to many Terrova's out there not to offer the update,if they don't that's going to piss off a bunch of customers.Of course they will make you pay,my guess is $700 plus.

Yeah, they would be crazy not to at least offer some sort of loyalty reward if the upgrade is not possible...but no upgrade available is what a few people have posted on WC they were told by Minn Kota customer service.

Should be evident as soon as the first batch ships what circuitry comparability would be.

There was nothing offered for the 1198 bird owners. No live mapping software upgrade for a $3000 machine was pretty harsh to swallow. I'm not a computer guy but I would assume if they wanted to it would be possible, but maybe not. No loyalty program that I heard of either.

Even if the Terrova was able to be upgraded you would also need a new remote and foot pedal. Might not be cost effective after selling it on the used market and upgrading.

Probably think if you can fork out 3 g's for a unit you can afford to sell it and cut your loss for a new one
