My son is wanting to upgrade his flasher. He has an Ice 55 with bag and comes with the orginal box, cd, and all packaging. It was purchased Boxing Day 2 years ago. I will have pics up later if needed. $450

He is looking at a LX6 or 7. I have the LX6 so I guess he likes the digital screen.

Sidenote: I'll leave it posted here for a day before I post elsewhere. I realize it's not a killer price but it is the current going price. Just want to give guys here first chance if they want it.

He'll love the LX7. I have it. My friend decided to purchase a rifle instead. Good luck with the sale.

Poor sales? I was looking at the 6 for the size factor. I guess everyone wants the big screen.

That's interesting...I always thought the 6 was a much better size than the 7.

Congrats on th sale @Tony - I thought that was a pretty solid deal!

I'm still finding lots of places still selling it, although it says LX 6S. I haven't found anything to say what the S stands for.

    I found the following info:
The LX-6s is all the same as old LX-6 other than the foot print/shuttle was the same as the lx-7/9 and was too big, so they made a new one for it. So it has a smaller pack and foot print.
They also removed the inside plastic handle.
The old specs were 9 3/4 deep by 9 1/2 wide.
The new specs are 7 3/4 deep by 9 1/2 wide.
It is the same shuttle the LX-5 is on.
Now includes snow shield like the LX-7.

When I was looking purchasing between the LX-6 and the LX-7 the only difference was:
The LX-7 features an 8-inch, 800x600 pixel LCD display, with a target separation down to 1/2-inch.
The LX-6 features a 6-inch, 640x480 pixel LCD display, with a target separation down to ¾-inch.

I'm glad that I bought the LX-7. With the bigger screen I view the following display options: water column vertical, vertical zoom, flasher dial and traditional horizontal graph. And also the "Dashboard” displays digital depth, battery voltage, range, gain, interference rejection (IR), target adjust, or any combination thereof.

Today's prices of any Flasher or Digital Sonar are insane. Nothing has changed on these units yet the price has gone up $150-200. LX-7 at Cabela's is $989.99!!! I think when I bought mine 2 years ago now, it was $769(?). I can't remember. I am going to find my receipt.

Thanks Z, that explains a lot. Bought my LX6 for $600 or $650 I believe.
