Only used for trout this weekend. In like new condition. Would like to trade for a 36" MH as the 42" won't fit in my Ice Innovations rod case. Doesn't have to be the same rod, just as long as it is a 36" MH with a proper reel seat and in good condition I will consider it.

I just cut some notches in my foam with a fillet knife to accommodate the longer laker rod. Mine's only 38" but I think there should be room to get a 42" in there on the outside edge. I can take a pic/measure tonight if you're interested.

I couldn't get my 42 to fit either :(. Great rod but when I find a 36-40 that fits and works the same I will probably switch.

I did the same to accommodate my 36" rods. The 42" just won't fit.

I ended up buying the 2 piece rapala 48" , mostly because I wanted a longer rod that will fit in the case.
Medium heavy is more on the medium side than being a heavy. Have not caught anything huge on it but plenty of back bone.
I think it has a great action so far, really absorbs head shakes.
Also not to big to fish inside a tent with, just have to sit a bit further back.

Here are a couple of mod ideas for the ice innovations case to accommodate longer rods (courtesy of google images).
On mine, I cut some slots in the foam as well to accommodate longer rods. Haven't tried to put a 42" rod in there yet...

So are you selling this rod or only looking to trade?

@Tony are you interested in it at that price? If not I have someone else lined up, but you have first crack at it.

I like it and I want it but I don't really need it at this time of year. If he doesn't take it I will. Keep me posted.
