    Hi guys. Just stumbled across this forum, thought I'd join and share.

    I've been forunate enough to have fished all over Canada, coast to coast. I'm essentially a DIY kind of guy, no frills, no fancy rigs. What I do have is basic gear that gets me out, usually to places that other guys rarely get to see.

    Each year I try to get in 2 big trips, always avoiding crowds and looking for places less travelled...going solo if I can't find like minded individuals.

    For me, the best fishing is when it's unspoiled. Don't care if I'm fly fishing in my home province of Alberta, casting spoons for pike in Sask, jigging bait for eyes in Manitoba, or cigar floating for salmon in remote BC. I play the conditions and fish accordingly. For me, there is no BEST method...just fishing.

    I may be a new member, but I am far from being a new fisherman...and I welcome the opportunity to help and share wherever I can...in a respectful manner.
